I have been in real estate for the last 24 years and have enjoyed working with buyers and sellers. I started having a desire to open my own brokerage because I wanted to make sure my agents were well educated and trained to handle today's client and technology, plus I want my company to have the true "client first" mentality. I believe we have some of the best agents in Southeastern Michigan.

 I have been married to my wife, Dana since 1987 and together we have 3 children Jessica, Amanda, and William and 5 grandchildren.  We have lived the past 30 years in Lenawee County and really believe in getting involved in your community.  Our family loves to attend church together, volunteer together, play and attend sporting events together, and really immerse ourselves in our community.  It is because of our love for the community that Xsell Realty is also a family business.  My wife co-owns Xsell and my daughter Jessica helps us run it.

XSell officially opened their doors in January 2014, though broker and owner Steve Brandt has been in the Real Estate business since 1999 as one of the top producers in the area for many years.  Steve always had a strong desire for working with people and found real estate a great way to do that, as well as a way to be his own boss. Starting the XSell team with just he and his wife Dana, XSell has quickly grown the company with two offices (Adrian and Jackson) over 30 realtors – who all believe in the idea of a true "Client First" relationship. We strive every day to let the buyer/seller experience the difference. We make sure our agents have the best education and technology available and are trained extensively to understand the available options, solutions and effective methods for dealing with homeowners facing selling and purchasing homes in this ever-changing market,”

Steve points out that he couldn’t handle the everyday flow of business without the help of his wife of 30 years, Dana; who is an integral part in the success of his real estate company and brokerage. As the Administrative assistant, Dana handles all the day to day business operations, such as; answering phone calls, handling the specifics and scheduling on closings and title arrangements, agent scheduling and managing the books for the business. “Without Dana by my side, I wouldn’t be able to get everything done that is involved in a closing or transaction.” Steve says.

As a busy father of 3 children, all with successful careers, Steve offers some good advice to the younger generation just entering the workforce that he often shares with his newer realtors: “80% of what you do in your career and life may fail, but you have to remember to live off the 20%. You can’t count your success by the amount of failures you’ve had its in how you react and move forward. No one is going to just give success to you and it doesn’t happen overnight.  You have to make a commitment, work toward it and make it happen.” Steve also has a great amount of faith in God and this is more important than anything I else as Dana and he believe it’s really God’s business we just run it for him.

As the broker and owner of XSell, Steve loves offering his realtors training and mentorship to help them be financially independent and successful as realtors. Seeing people buy and sell homes in difficult transactions is a welcomed joy and helping first-time home owners “turn the key” is an inspirational feeling that never gets old.
